Contract Catering - Fully Managed Catering Service

There are a number of organisations known as contract caterers who provide a totally outsourced school meals service of schools. This means the day to day management of the schools catering operation is removed from the school and the Local Education Authority.

The type of service a contract caterer will provide varies and will be determined by a service level agreement supported by a formal agreement and or contract between the school and the caterer.

Similarly the financial arrangements between the school and the caterer will vary depending on the requirement of the school.

We appreciate that certain schools do not wish to be involved with the day to day running of a school catering operation and would prefer a contract caterer to do this for them as it takes all the catering issues away from the school.
