What does 'one key' software mean?

It means you type in recipes and menus into one software package which has the tools to analyse recipes, the food standards and nutritional standards. Hands is a recipe checker, food standards checker and nutritional standards checker. This saves you time and makes the compliance process easier. Some other features are the traffic light labelling, food surveys, cook's folders and online interactive learning. Hands provides them all in our standardised service.

What other benefits are there to using Hands?

Hands allows you to print out your menus in Monday to Friday order in the correct quantities; with a storeroom pick list for the day; and a weekly order sheet.

Linking school meals to education

Hands has the ability to link teaching in the classroom to your menus. Hands will strengthen the teaching of what constitutes a balanced diet; which nutrients foods contain; and traffic light labelling.
