To enable them to supply food that meets the requirements of a balanced diet and meets the new government guidelines for school meals. This course provides an introduction to nutrition and focuses on the key areas, including the balance of good health, food values, menu balance, food groups and new government guidelines. Study aides will focus on nutrition in catering and guide candidates in applying knowledge of nutrition, to improve the quality of the food they prepare and serve.
